13 Reasons Why has already proved to be a phenomenon for Netflix and its viewers during its debut season, and the seemingly close-knit relationship shared among the cast has certainly been part of that track record. But perhaps the most interesting part of their bond is that while filming the drama, the actors all actually lived together in the same apartment building, where they all hung out in the midst of dealing with the heavy narrative.
[post_ads]The reasoning for this cohabitation is simple: None of the cast lived close to 13 Reasons Why's filming location in San Rafael, California, so seven of the actors had to move into some local lodging during the months-long production. San Rafael doesn't exactly have an abundance of housing options, however, so by sheer coincidence, they all moved into the same building. Fun times reminiscent of a college dorm naturally ensued.

"The best way to describe it is like summer camp. You get close so quickly," one of the show's stars, Miles Heizer, told Entertainment Weekly. "I lived two doors down from Christian," star Alisha Boe also said, "and every day after set I would go over to his place and watch RuPaul’s Drag Race."Christian Navarro said that he, Dylan Minnette, and Brandon Flynn scoped out the apartment complex together and liked what they saw.
