Call for Backup
Show-stealing palm print draperies dominate this Bahamas guest room, so designer Christina Murphy chose to keep the rest of the room somewhat subdued, with a caned bed and Nile Green-like grasscloth wallpaper beyond. Paired with the deeper green of the curtains, the color “really plays off the green shades seen out the windows on the leaves of the bougainvillea vines, the bushes and the trees,” says Murphy.

Pile Green on Green
In this historic Lake Michigan home, various shades of green mingle with deep blues, citrus hues, and natural materials like the home’s original whitewashed woodwork. The greens here transcend to other areas of the home, too, such as the breakfast room and sunroom.

Mimic the Outdoors
[post_ads]With the walls and ceiling splashed in a pretty light green (Key Lime by Benjamin Moore), this breakfast room feels in sync with the outdoors. But designer Kevin Isbell took things up a notch by cladding everything in latticework inspired by the same pattern that once clad the windows. The genius of latticework over green, says Isbell, is that it makes you feel like you’re sitting outside in a gazebo.

Pop It With Peach
[post_ads]An all-over green in this Palm Beach kitchen was a bold move by designers Celerie Kemble and Lindsey Herod, but the glossy backsplash and gorgeous green cabinetry (painted Wales Green by Benjamin Moore) works just right. White countertops and a peach-colored pendant add the perfect pop and contrast.

Go for the Bold
Nile Green doesn’t have to be a straight-up solid—in our 2016 Hamptons Showhouse, designer Meg Braff chose a tropical wallpaper from her own collection that combines all the earthy colors. A durable rush grass floorcovering grounds the whole palette.

Dress it Down
Walls painted Light Green by Benjamin Moore are a backdrop to a quirky woven porter’s chair and basket, wood console, and gilded starburst mirror. The cocktail of textures, plus pops of deep teal, keep the vibe feeling casual and nature-inspired against the soft green walls.
