How to Make DIY Oversized Christmas Ornaments

Here's how to make oversized Christmas ornaments for your home, porch, or any outdoor space with upcycled tuna cans. These cute and fast DIY Christmas decorations can be made on the cheap with supplies you already own.

Bigger ornaments mean happier holidays.

By Marlisse Cepeda, Country Living

What do light globes, used tuna cans, and eye hooks have in common? Together, you can use them to craft a supersize Christmas ornament that will make your front porch really stand out this season.

When we came across Home Stories A to Z's brilliant craft, we couldn't stop ohhhing and ahhhing over it. The best part? It's super easy to make. Here's what to do:

To start off, get yourself a light globe and a used tuna can.
After removing the tuna label and cleaning the can, drill a hole in the center of it, and screw in an eye hook. (See Home Stories A to Z's blog on how to remove those tiny letters from the top of the can.)
From there, get those creative juices flowing, and decorate the globe with stencils and paint. When you're done, put battery-powered lights inside, and you've got your very own oversized ornament!

For a stand-out display, follow blogger Beth's lead and perch your ornaments on top of small wreaths on your front steps:
