Nordic Ware
Bundt® cake pans were the original shaped bakeware. That's why so many
refer to any shaped bakeware as a Bundt. But in fact, Bundt is a
registered brand of Nordic Ware - an industry leader in bakeware, kitchenware and more.
Nordic
Ware Bundt pans are known for their interesting shapes and cast
aluminum construction which results in even baking and browning.
Available in a variety of shapes including square pans and individual
sized bakeware, you've probably enjoyed a Bundt cake at numerous events.
Or maybe you've been awed by them on a food table; they are that beautiful.
What
makes their shaped bakeware so popular besides the quality
construction, is how easy they are to use. Many have a professional
hardcoat non-stick surface making they easier for cake removal as well
as for clean-up. But it's the presentation with little effort from you
(the pan does the work), that has led to the success of these Bundt
pans.
Bundt cakes are always a hit with guests because of their
interesting and delightful presentation and are just as easy to use as a
regular cake pan. Not into baking? Don't worry, you can even make a mix
cake - it will out perfectly and look awesome.
Bundt coffee cakes
can be served with or without frosting or topping and look terrific
with just a sprinkle of icing sugar. Not too many 'naked' cakes can pull
this off, but the Bundt can. So if you're looking for a healthier
dessert option, this is a good choice.
Superior for coffee cakes,
popular when decorated for special events or incorporated into a theme
birthday cake, this is a dessert that's usually easy to cut and serve.
But cakes are not the only thing you can make in a shaped bakeware pan.
It's also ideal for jellied salads and other desserts.
A
Bundt pan for some (myself included) has become an essential bakeware
item. For many years, most of my cakes were baked in a Bundt. And the
key to easily removing the cake, is to let it cool completely in the
pan, especially if it's chocolate.
Then use a long flexible plastic, rubber or
silicone spatula to nudge each curve section, before inverting on your
serving plate.
Making and baking a cake in a shaped bakeware is
similar to using any type of baking pan. The key is using the right
amount of batter for the pan. The standard size of Bundt requires ten
cups of batter or alternatively, a double layer cake mix, but there are
smaller sizes, including single-serve pans.
These specialty pans
are excellent for gift-giving. Browse the various brands and shapes
available; you'll be amazed at the extensive assortment. You can even
buy a silicone shaped pan if you prefer.
