We all know plastic bottles are wasteful, so wasteful in fact, America
uses more than 17 million barrels of oil annually to meet it’s plastic
water bottle demand, according to Ban the Bottle. So why not put those bottles to re-use to help improve your life and your gardens?

In a video from HuwsNursery, you can use these seven gardening hacks
presented to save money and make the most of recycling plastic bottles.
The
first hack shows you how to protect your seedlings from slugs and other
natural predators. The second hack uses a bottle as seed storage
while the third actually makes a slug trap, if you happen to find slugs
pestering your garden.
Next, the video shows you how to use bottles to make a water reservoir,
so when you go away for long periods of time, your plants can still get
water.
The fifth hack teaches you how to use a bottle as a mini greenhouse by
cutting off the bottom and unscrewing the cap to get airflow.
If you don’t have a watering can, you can actually make one out of a
water bottle by puncturing the cap with little holes, and, finally, make
yourself a planter by turning the bottle sideways and cutting a hole
out of the side.
Check out all the hacks in the video below.
