Red has always been the color of love, but it is also one of the best shades that make a statement. When you wear red you go all guns out! With red, its glamor and fancy wear, everywhere. This time, the red is back in all its magnificent glory on the nails. Yes, it isn’t Valentine’s Day, but the classic red nails have been appearing at some very highly rated shows and fashion runways, and we can’t help but notice! The New York Fashion Week saw stunning examples of red manicures again and again. Here we present to you the statement red manicures that appeared on some of the most high-profile runways in the New York Fashion Week.
Badgley Mischka
[post_ads]Deborah Lippmann inspired a magnificent red manicure backstage at Badgley Mischka. She topped a fine gunmetal shade with blood red at the tips. The result was immediate and the look was captivating. They really did look ‘stunning yet completely unexpected’ as they were called by the talent celebrity nail artist. The manicure was one of the highlights of the shows and we don’t disagree.
Jeremy Scott
The Hollywood hall of fame inspired red manicure featured a more sunny red, with a pooping characteristic that was created on the spot by mixing bright yellow with an electric orange and some warm red. The look was created by Miss Pop, the CND creative ambassador and nail artist and Jan Arnold. The look was finished with bright golden stars on the top that added that Hollywood flair.
Tracy Reese
We have been seeing a lot of negative space art on the runways and Tracy Reese used the concept fabulously. While every model had a different manicure and some different flavor to offer, a specific look that caught our eye was by Manicurist Geraldine Holford. She painted a fun and clean look with random, clean red lines on the nails. Some down the middle, some on the side and some across the center. The pure asymmetry of the single lines made this manicure unruly, yet extremely fashionable.

The designer also made excellent use of negative space to show off his theme of blended cultures. A half-moon manicure was created with red and gold, the gold on top. Two contrasts so highlighted, yet so different. The look can easily be created at home with simple nail stickers and a steady hand.
These were some of the best red manicures that were spotted on the runway of the New York Fashion Week. Some of the most celebrated nail artists of the fashion word blended colors together to come up with stunning red nail arts. It seems as if, the classic red is making a spectacular return. This time, the nails will shine crimson in a blend of interesting and unique trends and styles. We are looking forward to all the red in store, are you?
