How to Decorate With Millennial Pink

Just because millennials love it doesn’t mean you can’t use it too. Here, how to decorate with pink, grown-ass woman style.

The Best New Ways to Decorate with Millennial Pink (and Not Look Like a Millennial)

By Grace Beuley Hunt, PureWow

While we don’t consider any generation to have ownership over pink (umm, Jackie O.’s wardrobe, anyone?), there’s no denying the rising tide of blush and bubblegum in the home decor world. But before you go running to your grown-ass whites and grays, take pause: You can decorate with the color and still look like an adult. Below, the five most stylish places where pink is having a moment.

Mid-Century Furnishings

That Mad Men look ain’t over yet, folks. Anthropologie’s fall catalog and Target’s much-anticipated Project 62 (to name a few) are a study in balancing the trendy colorway with time-honored designs.

Cookware and Appliances

From Le Creuset’s new Dream Matte Pink cookware line to Hurom’s chic new slow juicer, one of the freshest ways to sport pink (and jazz up the most utilitarian room in the house), is to leave pretty-in-pink kitchenware out on display.

Matte Paint

More and more, designers are using chalky pink paint as a chic statement that doesn’t totally shock the system. (Just look at the way it elevates an otherwise neutral bedroom.) Looking for the perfect hue? We’re obsessed with Benjamin Moore’s Dream Whip.

Pop Art Prints

We’re loving the recent proliferation of modern, photographic prints in candy colorways. (Think this minimalist beach towel scene, Gray Malin's aerial Umbrella series or this Palm Springs architecture shot.)

Lush Textiles

Trend-shy? Throws, pillows and table linens are an easy way to get on board. We’re exceptionally partial to the glam new velvet and flokati offerings this season. Think of it as hygge meets luxe.
