5 Things You Should Stop Stressing About

We know it’s very important to push ourselves to be a kind, compassionate and healthier person - but let’s face it, it’s kind of impossible too. Not giving a damn, however, isn’t just easy - it’s kind of awesome. Life is too short to over-analyze, over-think and over-care about trivial things in life which is why say- screw it! Here are 5 things that you should stop stressing about.

Why you were rejected
Rejection is one of those things that make us find fault in ourselves, no matter what level it happens at. Whether it’s as huge as getting fired, or as excruciating as being cheated on by a lover, it always makes us question ourselves and not the job or the said relationship. Rejection is a reality and not a consequence, so stop thinking about it too much. Accept it and move on.

Fitting in
The generation of YOLO and FOMO has made being a part of the herd mentality a norm. You need to fit in, be social, take selfies, upload them, fake smile, group hug, network, suck-it-up, bla bla bla. It’s exhaustive and annoying. So, stop fitting in. Your friends will stand by you and accept you and all your eccentricities and oddities. Take it easy and stop stressing about being social all the time.

If she wants to be with you
When it comes to relationships, there’s less of grey space than we would like to hope for. It’s either black or white. If a girl wants to be with you, she’ll be with you - situations notwithstanding. If she doesn't want to be with you, she won’t be. No amount of ‘buts’ or ‘because’ or justifications will dilute the truth. It’s something that we would have to live with, and stressing about it will do you no good.

What’s going to go wrong
The second we feel content, and think that life is good, we’re met by an unknown anxiety that everything is not okay. Something dark, unknown is going to come and rob us of our happiness. It’s only hypothetical but we prepare ourselves for the worst possible scenarios in our heads so that there is no element of surprise left. This is fine only that it won’t stop the situation from happening. However, the worst thing it does to you is ruin the moment for you.

All the ways in which you’ve offended someone
No matter what happens, we always tend to think that we are disappointing or inconveniencing someone. It’s our default setting; we can’t help but think like that. Now, don’t get us wrong, it’s not always bad. It will keep you self-aware of your reactions. But, if you fret over it too much, you run the risk of being perpetually anxious. And stress can certainly ruin your life.
