It’s a name you surely know. Vince Camuto has been a force in the
fashion industry for three decades, known first for his footwear designs
but, these days, for quite a bit more. Taking his design experience and
love of travel in a new direction, the designer now brings us Vince
Camuto Home and a new line of bedding ensembles meant to make decorating
the boudoir simple, stylish and sophisticated.
Vince Camuto Home
The
company views Vince Camuto Home as a natural extension of its fashion
brand and uses the same design sense and modern yet classic direction
used for its fashion items. Camuto and his design team target modern
women and men who are knowledgeable about the latest trends and keen on versatility in their products. That same sensibility has been carried over to the new bedding collection.
It was the passion for architecture, interior design and home décor shared by Camuto and his wife Louise Camuto, creative director for the company, which led to the development of the Home line.
The couple drew inspiration from their global
travels to create collections that incorporate influences from their
favorite cities around the world. There is something here for all style
preferences and also the distinct chance you will be ready for your own
global adventure to witness the cities that inspired the lines for
yourself.
The new bedding collections include a variety of looks
and take on the names of the cities that inspired them. They also are
being sold in different configurations – like the Queen Mini set which
includes a comforter and two standard shams – so you aren’t locked into
more pieces than you need and can create the look as you like it.
Among the new bedding designs are:
Berlin:
An austere collection designed in a bold, unisex palette of graphite,
navy, lemon yellow and ivory. Shagreen and basket-woven patterns are
meant to be layered with croco-quilted coverlets, subtle signature
prints and bold graffiti florals.
Devon: A
mixture of beautiful blues including soothing aqua, navy and peacock
blue dress the matelassé comforters and shams that feature woven
geometric patterns. Contrast piping and giraffe prints add a
contemporary vibe.
Key Biscayne: Bold blocks of
color and panels of bright coral, tangerine and natural linen in a
textured, slub cotton help this collection live up to the culture of its
namesake. Layering pieces bring in an accent of a Bengal tiger print
for added depth.
Marseille: A romantic collection
inspired by the opulent bedroom chambers of French royalty. The look is
modernized with jacquards and silky satins in a subdued palette of
taupe and ivory with accents of blush pink and citron yellow. Scrolled
geometric and jacquard animal prints complete the look.
Milan:
The beauty of Italy’s bustling fashion capitol was the inspiration for
the modern, monochromatic field and pop of vivid cobalt blue accents in
this collection. A stone-path pattern adds a subtle detail and contrast
trim modernizes the look.
Monte Carlo: For those
who like their bedrooms bold, Monte Carlo’s high-contrast
black-and-white scheme with pops of bold green will make the right
statement. Pieced borders, textured fabrics and snow leopard prints
enrich the collection.
