Every season, the founder of the One Room Challenge, Linda Weinstein, is left in awe of the bloggers who take on the task of making over a room in six short weeks — and the 10th season was no exception. In fact, Weinstein loved the following trends so much, she wants to incorporate them into her own home ASAP.
1. Shiplap Walls
There isn't a shiplap or plank wall I don't love — they just make me happy. This trend, which Kris Jarrett from Driven by Decor and Naomi Stein from Design Manifest (below) pulled off superbly, will definitely be happening in several rooms of my home (and not soon enough).

2. Statement Lamps
Even though I used to think lamps must be added in pairs, like earrings or shoes, now I'm on the hunt for that one perfect statement lamp. I love how Mandy Kellogg Rye from Waiting on Martha (below) and Nicole Cohen from Sketch 42 added lighting that's also an accessory.

3. Unexpected Light Fixtures
There was a time when light fixtures were gold, silver or maybe bronze. Using a black sculptural fixture with just the right amount of edge, like Nicole Balch from Making It Lovely (below) and Melaine Thompson from My Sweet Savannah did, would definitely have my friends looking up.

4. Quiet Works Spaces
Your work environment matters, which is why I want to create an office that looks pretty and organized. I love all the seating options and beautiful storage Megan Ardoin from Honey We're Home (below) and Mandy Kellogg Rye from Waiting on Martha's work spaces offer.

5. No Rules Apply
This treehouse from Orlando Soria of Hommemaker was a reminder that there really are no rules for design in your own home. I want to create a space that makes me happy.
