[post_ads]After weeks—nay, months—of dreaming up what kind of gorgeous
gown Pippa Middleton would walk down the aisle in, we finally got to
see (and fawn over) Pippa Middleton's wedding dress yesterday at her fairytale-worthy wedding to James Matthews. The buzzed-about dress definitely lived up to all the hype—it was legit breathtaking. And the often-circulating rumors that British designer Giles Deacon
was the man behind the masterpiece were certainly correct. Deacon did
up designing Pippa's wedding dress—and totally killed it! But where the
rumors were wrong, was just how gorgeous this gown ended up being. Sure,
we knew it had to be beautiful. But this royally-related bride's
wedding dress was truly stunning—and we can't stop talking about it!
Here's everything we know about Pippa Middleton's entire wedding day
look.
On May 20, 2017, Pippa Middleton wed James Matthews at St. Mark's Englefield, where the bride stunned in her Giles Deacon–designed wedding dress
featuring all-over lace, a high Victorian neckline, a voluminous A-line
skirt, cap sleeves, and keyhole back. It was classic, chic, and totally Pippa.Kensington
Palace confirmed that the dress was indeed designed by Giles Deacon,
who just opened up in a public statement about the fabulous frock.

[post_ads]"I was thrilled to work with Pippa on her wedding dress," said Deacon, according to Entertainment Tonight.
"The dress is constructed with a cap sleeve, high neckline and features
a corseted bodice with draping to the front and a heart shaped detail
at the back. The bespoke silk cotton lace was hand appliquéd to create
an illusion of the dress having no seams.""The lace
bodice is embroidered with pearl detailing over an organza and fuller
underskirt, which has layer upon layer to enable a floor-sweeping
movement," Deacon continued. "It's a privilege to show the craftsmanship
that my team produces in London and a real testament to Pippa's support
of British fashion."
Pippa completed her look with a custom-made tiara by Robinson Pelham, a
tulle and pearl-embroidered veil by Stephen Jones, ivory satin Manolo
Blahnik pumps, and a pair of dainty diamond earrings—which just so
happened to be her "something old!"
Do those baubles look familiar? Well, they certainly should! As it turns
out, the diamond earrings Pippa wore on her big day are the very same
ones she wore as a bridesmaid at 2011's royal wedding where her sister, the Duchess of Cambridge, wed Prince William.

According to The Telegraph via PEOPLE
magazine, for her big sister's big day, Pippa's family commissioned a
set of jewelry by Robinson Pelham for the Middleton daughters to wear,
which includes Pippa's chic earrings. Now, six years
later, Pippa has pulled the baubles out of retirement to be used as her
"something old." Featuring pear-cut drop diamonds, the earrings were the
perfect finishing touch to Pippa's wedding day ensemble—and such a
royal wedding throwback!
