I don't care what size you are, trying on bathing suits in dressing rooms is the worst. The lighting is always terrible, it's either freezing or sweltering hot, and it's incredibly awkward to be basically naked trying to grab the right size from the fitting room attendant — if there even is one. New swimsuit brand Summersalt wants to take the dress out of bathing suit shopping by letting you try them on in the comfort of your own bedroom. Genius, right?
[post_ads]Just like the Warby Parker model, where you can order six pairs of glasses and send back what you don't want, Summersalt lets you pick six suits to try on at home, and you choose what you keep and buy. Co-founder Lori Coulter explained to Brit+Co her reasons for the model: "With our try-at-home approach to swimwear, we offer consumers both a designer product exclusively available from our site and a personal experience, both at little risk to the customer." And with more than 100 styles, there's something for everyone. "We also wanted to be a true category killer by providing our woman with multiple choices, from cover-ups to swim legging, bikinis, and everything in between!" she said.
It was also important to Coulter and her founding partner Reshma Chattaram Chamberlin to keep everything under $95, while still proving the fit, durability, and comfort of more expensive swimwear. "We wanted quality that doesn’t break the bank, so we created a product that included all the best features of designer swimwear," she told Brit+Co.

Right now, styles run from sizes 2 to 14, but because swimsuit sizes tend to run on the smaller side, I do wish there was a bit larger of a size range. But as a new company, it's a really good start. You can shop all the chic one-pieces, sporty bikinis, and one-shoulder maillots now at gosummersalt.com.
