If you have poor air quality in your home, no central heat or air conditioning, and an extra few hundred dollars, your day is about to get much better.
Dyson has come out with the Pure Hot + Cool Link, which combines a heater, fan and air purifier all into one $599.99 package. The announcement comes just a few months after they released their Pure Cool Link, which doesn't come with the heater. The new Pure arrives in stores on Sept. 6.
But, as Dyson design engineer Sean Hopkins explained to Wired, combining the heater and purifier is actually sort of genius, but also difficult. Because heat and humidity often make allergens worse, an air purifier has to work overtime to clear the air. “It comes down to taking into account how do we make the most efficient use of the purifier function while maintaining the room at a certain temperature,” he said. “It’s a well-timed balancing act, or more like a see-saw.”

[post_ads]Dyson promises the new device removes 99.97 percent of particles, including those from pollen, bacteria, dust, mold, household odors or pet dander—and if you're in New York, probably hot garbage smells. And at night, you can set it to hum at its quietest setting so you don't drive your roommates crazy.
The Pure Hot + Cool Link also has a connected app which tracks your air quality history to see which are particularly bad for allergies. You can also set it to keep the air less clean, if you're trying to save money (but then, doctor's bills... who knows).
You can buy it on Dyson's website in white (which is actually silver) or blue.
