Kim Kardashian may be a lot of things, but one thing she’s not? A wallflower. As PopSugar reports,
the reality TV mogul flaunted her fearless side on Sunday when she
stepped out in New York City sporting the notorious boot-pant hybrids
from the Balenciaga Spring/Summer 2017 collection. The ‘bants,’ as I’ll call them — essentially, high-waisted spandex leggings
with attached four-inch stiletto heels — made a major splash when they
made their debut on Demna Gvasalia's runway in October 2016, but we
hadn’t seen them in real life (until now).
[post_ads]Kim paired the skintight boot-pants with a cropped black cape-like top by Chalayan, sleek straight hair parted down the middle, and — in true Kardashian fashion — a whole lot of cleavage. Together, the reality star’s ensemble looked like something plucked from Wonder Woman’s closet, in the best way possible. High-waisted boots may not be the most practical of garments (for one, how the hell do you wash them?) but Kim, unsurprisingly, makes a damn good case for giving them a shot.

Sadly,
Kim’s statement-making ‘bants’ aren’t available in stores quite yet.
Several other spandex styles from Balenciaga’s spring collection,
namely, the brand’s super-popular thigh-high version, worn by Kylie Jenner and Miranda Kerr, are currently for sale at Neiman Marcus
for $1,395. In addition to the black, they’re available in a range of
bright shades, including purple, royal blue, and a printed
green-and-black style. Sure, $1,400 is a lot to spend on shoes, but if
you’re going to spend the money, these are certainly the shoes to spend
them on (that is, if you’re willing to skip pants in public).
