Easter is right around the corner and you volunteered to host dinner, which means you’re in need of an eye-catching centerpiece. Pastel daisies? Eh, been there. Plastic eggs and bunnies? No, thanks. A clever centerpiece that you can also put in your garden afterwards? Yes, please. Plus, it’s so easy, even your kids can do it. Here’s how.
What you’ll need: White eggs (hollowed out), natural dyes, Miracle-Gro Seed Starting Potting Mix and seeds
Step 1:
Dip-dye each egg using natural coloring. Opt for pastel hues like blues, pinks, greens and purples.
Step 2:
Crack open the hollowed eggs by gently tapping a spoon around the top of the egg.
Step 3:
Fill the egg halfway with potting mix. Then carefully drop in the seeds using a tweezer. Top off with a little more soil.
Step 4:
Add water and watch these babies grow. When the little guys have sprouted leaves, simply crush the shells (don’t worry, they’ll decompose), add them to a planter filled with soil and feed them with Miracle-Gro Quick Start Planting & Transplant Starting Solution.
